Breath is fuel for life; how we breathe influences our physical and emotional wellbeing. As our body's first, most natural internal support, breath is the primary aspect of postural balance. Despite the importance of the breath, we often forget to breathe and, instead, hold our breath. Jessica Wolf's Art of Breathing informs the Alexander Technique with enhanced awareness of the breath, and teaches us to use breathing coordination to restore our natural respiratory cycles. Breath that is free enlivens the spine and enables a three-dimensional quality in the torso. It grants us greater facility of movement and enriches our quality of life.
