Dr. Patrick Johnson has been teaching Alexander technique at Smartbody studio in Amsterdam since 2010 having trained at the Alexander Technique Centre Amsterdam with Paul Versteek and Tessa Marwick.

Patrick is also an experimental physicist in optics with 18 years of research experience and over 30 peer reviewed publications. He became interested in movement science and its relationship to AT after reading an article of Tim Cacciatore’s in 2005 and has followed closely Tim’s work since then.

In 2007 he spent a year as a guest scientist in the department of human movement sciences at the Vrij Universiteit in Amsterdam conducting experiments on the effects of AT lessons on balance.
