Agnès de Brunhoff is a singer and classical pianist. She qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in 1993 with Misha Magidov and since then worked both as a performer and also as a teacher at the Guildhall in London, and the European Union Youth Orchestra. She now works at the CNSMDP, the Paris National Conservatoire, where she teaches the course: “The body of the performer on stage.” Since 2008, she has also been training Alexander Technique teachers at the CFTA, the training school which she opened in Paris. In 2013, she published On Stage! Back to Yourself with the Alexander Technique. In her book, she explains how performers can put their body and the principles of the Alexander Technique behind every movement, in every note of music or every word of a text, and at the very heart of stage performance.
