Diane Gaary teaches speaking voice, dialects, and movement and has a particular interest in how body use affects the speaking and singing voice. With a BA in Theatre and English from Smith College and an MFA in Acting from The University of Virginia, Diane has teacher certification from The American Society of the Alexander Technique (AMSAT) and the Lessac Institute for Voice and Body Training, as well as practitioner certification from the Feldenkrais Guild of North America®. She is on the faculty of Temple University and Arcadia University, teaches regularly at Westminster Choir College, and has taught classes and workshops at a number of universities and training centres. Diane teaches privately in Philadelphia. Her students have performed extensively on Broadway and in Regional Theatre, in film and television, and in major opera houses such as The Metropolitan Opera, The New York City Opera, and La Scalla.
