workshop: tue 11 aug | details

Gilles trained in Paris with Marie-Françoise Le Foll and in the United States with Franck Ottiwell, Bruce and Martha Fertman, and Tommy Thompson. In 1990, he began teaching the Alexander Technique along with Contact Improvisation. Since1997, he has been teaching dancers, actors and musicians alongside his training course in Bordeaux and Paris. Through the study of human movement coordination, dance and creativity, Gilles’ teaching is based on a model of total being in which balance and poise are functions of the mind. F.M. Alexander's principles are his essential pedagogical support and Contact Improvisation an essential tool for enhancing and experimenting with them. His teaching of Argentinean Tango also provides an ideal educational process of touch and connection.
