Janet Madelle Feindel, MFA, is a full Professor of Voice/Alexander Technique at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. She has coached voice, dialect and Alexander Technique with: Canadian Stratford Festival, including Birmingham Conservatory; Theatre for a New Audience/Royal Shakespeare Company; Rampe Theatre, Canadian Stage Co., among many others. She has coached award-winning actors, including F. Murray Abraham, Cote de Pablo and Matt Bomer. She has presented and led workshops internationally on the intersection of Acting/Voice/Alexander Technique. Her play, A Particular Class of Women is published by Canada Playwrights Press. She is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, Certified Fitzmaurice Voice Teacher, teaching member of Alexander Technique International, member International Movement Educators and Therapists Association, and certified Yoga Teacher. She authored The Thought Propels the Sound, and a chapter in Performer’s Voice (Plural Publishing) and various articles including Congress Papers, 2004, 2009.
