Phyllis Richmond (M.AmSAT, M.STAT) certified as an Alexander Technique teacher at the Brighton Alexander Training Centre (John Nicholls) in 1991. She teaches in Evanston, Illinois and Dallas, Texas and offers workshops and courses for many universities and professional programs in the US and abroad, most recently for the University of North Texas, University of Louisiana, Freedom to Move Conference, and Keyboard Wellness Seminar. A serious student of Tai Chi Chuan since 1998, she received her teaching certification from the Yang Style Martial Arts Association in Taiwan in 2013. She also teaches the Shaw Method of Swimming. Phyllis has an MA in Dance Education and is a Certified Laban Movement Analyst (CMA). The author of many articles about the Alexander Technique, Phyllis is the Editor of AmSAT Journal. In 2012 she received AmSAT's Distinguished Service Award, the Society's highest honor.
