Richard Brennan began studying the Alexander Technique in 1983 and graduated from a STAT training course in the UK in 1989. He is the director of Ireland's only Alexander Teacher Training College in Galway and is the co-founder and vice-president of The Irish Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique.
He has written 7 books on the Alexander Technique, including Back in Balance, The Alexander Technique Workbook and Change Your Posture, Change Your Life. He has also been featured in many newspapers and magazines including The Irish Times, The Sunday Tribune, The Irish Examiner, Cosmopolitan, Hello; and he has appeared on BBC I & RTE 1.
Richard travels throughout Europe and USA giving talks and presenting courses on the Technique. His life aim is to make the Alexander Technique as accessible as possible to the general public. He is one of the directors of the 2015 Congress.
