Jeremy Wasser is a professor of physiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Texas A&M University, where he also holds a position in the College of Medicine. His background includes training and research in biology, zoology, and physiology of human and non-human animals and he is a specialist in comparative physiology. Additionally, as a singer and cantorial soloist, he has sung with several small companies as a baritone comprimario and for synagogues in Texas and Germany.
He believes strongly in the marriage of arts and science and the value of a cross-disciplinary approach to the way animals function. Currently, he is working on a book on the History of Physiology focusing on the transformation of our understanding of how the body works from the magical to the scientific.
