workshop: fri 14 aug | details

Christina Hirt trained as an Alexander Teacher after an intense study in contemporary dance, which brought up severe physical problems typical for dancers.
Since her qualification in 2003 in Vienna, Austria, she has been working continuously on combining Alexander´s principles with movement, dance, yoga and singing. Since 2010 she has been practicing Peter Grunwald´s eyebody-method, finding out more about how and where inhibition and direction proceed in our brain.
Based on all of these investigations she offers clases for alexander-people, dancers and non-dancers.

Christina lives in Vienna, and has been teaching Alexander Technique amongst others to Musicians at the Bruckner-University in Linz/Austria, has been running many workshops for choirs, bands and performers, and is currently teaching at "WAAT" – Viennese Training Center for Alexandertechnique, where, together with her colleague Norma Espejel, she is developing ways of integrating these principles into group activities, movement and performance.

Besides teaching she is performing as a dancer and has two children.
