workshop: fri 14 aug | details
Don Weed began his study of the Alexander Technique in the summer of 1971 with Marjorie Barstow. He was privileged to be a part of the evolution of Marjorie’s approach to teaching and innovation throughout the whole of its development from the early experiments in 1971 through its conclusion in 1993. In addition to working with and interacting with a large number of teachers over the last forty years, he studied significantly with Frank Pierce Jones and Margaret Goldie.
He is the creator of the Interactive Teaching Method for the Teaching of the F. M. Alexander Technique (ITM) and has trained more than 100 teachers to teach Alexander’s work in this manner. He is currently also conducting a course for the professional training of trainers who will, in turn, train teachers in this approach.
