evening opening ceremony

The Opening Ceremony which commences at 19:00 on Sunday, August 9, will include a special keynote speech by Michael Gelb entitled How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci.

After the Opening Ceremony there will be a musical performance by Ceol Na Mara.

plenary sessions

The plenary sessions are special lectures with capacity for a large audience, and everyone is welcome. They will all take place in the University Concert Hall in the Foundation Building. For full details please see our plenary sessions page.

continuous learning

Continuous Learning sessions will be led by very experienced Alexander Technique teachers. Each session will be held in two parts, for a total of four hours over a two day period, from 9am until 11am each morning. Each participant can do a maximum of three Continuous Learning sessions during the course of the week. It is necessary to book your CL choices in advance, via your registration account. panel discussions

International panel discussions on far-reaching topics regarding the Alexander Technique profession as a whole. For full details please see our panel discussions page.

workshops

Workshops will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons, from 2pm to 4pm. There will be a wide variety of subjects, all associated with learning the Alexander Technique. There is no need to book workshops, but we recommend you arrive early if you are keen to attend a particular workshop. For full details please see our workshops page.

work exchange

Work exchange is an important ingredient of the Congress. There will be rooms available all day if you would like to exchange lessons with other teachers. For full details please see our work exchange page.

entertainment

Each evening there will be an entertainment event that you can enjoy. These include three Irish music evenings, a limerick competition, a talent show, and an evening of Irish dancing. For full details please see our entertainments page.
