In this workshop, we shall explore the profound effect the AT has on anxiety, stage fright and the fear of being seen and heard. How, with our unique hands-on approach, we can help the student awaken what has been entrenched by either traumatic experiences or just pushed far away. With a sensitive, listening touch, the teacher can encourage the student to enter areas of resistance. With further guidance, trust and support, the student can feel inspired and hopeful that a real change has begun.
We shall work in pairs and individually, as both teacher and student. Using tools such as the “Whispered Ah,” and non-judgmental attention, we can enlighten, inform and transform all that is in us. From that place, we shall continue into an improvisation of sound and movement that may surprise us with a deepening creative potential.
This workshop is for all levels: from the trainee to the experienced teacher who works with breath, voice and issues of resistance.
