The international AT community has not yet effectively joined in exploring job development in markets outside the traditional performing arts programs in university settings.

This workshop will present some proposals for the AT community to pursue proactive employer recruitment. We will then join together in some creative thinking and strategizing.

What job markets can we identify? How can we create jobs for new populations in a variety of private and public institutions and corporations? How can we introduce our profession to trade associations, unions, government agencies and NGOs? Who can we partner with to help us in this undertaking? What funding sources and grant programs might help us in this endeavor? How can we target potential employers and assure our graduating trainees that they will have jobs to support themselves?
