Dr. Peter Levine has done extensive research in the field of stress, and how it affects animal and human behavior. He has developed an approach called Somatic Experiencing® that focuses on including, and putting emphasis on the physiological aspects of stress and trauma. His ground-breaking treatment is used and taught around the globe. See www.somaticexperiencing.com.

Betsy has studied his work for more than ten years, and has found that it is compatible and complimentary to her Alexander teaching. The book she wrote, The Actor's Secret, describes the process by which she combines the techniques.

In this class Betsy will present some of the exercises from the book for all to try. See theactorssecretbook.com
