In the Alexander Technique teaching community there have been discussions and varied opinions on chair work: 'It is a procedure!', 'It is an activity!', 'It is something ‘traditional or orthodox’ teachers do!', 'It is boring!'

This workshop will demystify and clarify the purpose of chair work and the fundamentality of it in students maximizing the study, learning and benefits of the Technique. Participants will explore clear ways of working with a student in chair work.
